Working and giveaway gift

I made ceramics when I was a child. My mum sent us, my brother and I, to classes on saturday mornings. To keep us far from home and let her do something. And this year I have started again. I am a bit out of inspiration.
Zeramikara joan nintzen txikia nintzenean. Amak, anaia eta biok, klaseetara bidaltzen zizkigun larunbat goizeetan. Bakarrik hutz genezan. Aurten, berriro hasi naiz, baina inspirazioa beste nonbait laga det.
Fui a cerámica cuando era pequeña. Mi madre nos envió, a mi hermano y a mí, a clases los sábados a la mañana. Supongo que para que la dejáramos en paz. Este año he vuelto a empezar, pero no encuentro mucha inspiración.

And this is the giveaway gift. It is a leather "pot". Hand dyed, hand sewed and hand everything. Useful for lots of things, like keeping knitting goods, or brushes, or whatever you can imagine. Or if you put a glass inside, it can be used as a vase.
Eta hau da giveawayko oparia. Larruzko potea. Eskuz tintatua, eskuz josia eta eskuz guztia. Gauza askotarako erabil daiteke, punto egiteko orratzak gordetzeko, pintzelak eukitzeko edo barruan baso bat ipini eskero, florero giza.
Y este es el regalo del giveaway. Es un bote de cuero. Teñido a mano, cosido a mano, y todo a mano. Se puede usar para guardar las agujas de tejer, para los pinceles o incluso colocando un vaso dentro, como florero.
Hope you like and write more comments just to take part.

  1. I'd love to do a ceramic course. I took my boys years ago, and while they were learning with other children, I'd have a go at the pottery wheel. Your leather pot is very original. I see a wave in there. Isn't dying leather quite tricky?

  8. What a great thing to do...to send your children in ceramics class. Wish my parents had thought of that! ;) But even then...I would not have been that talented.
And what a wonderful thought that you give one of your vases away.
    Have a fantastic weekend, Jeannette
