Handmade

This was made by my uncle. He works with wood. It was used to light the houses. The yellow thing is a candle of beeswax. And it was typical in the basque country houses.
Argazkikoa osabak egin zion amari.

As I spent some time at my parents, I took some photos there. This is the neck of my mum. The necklace was bought in Istambul some years ago. She loves necklaces, so I try to bring one with me whatever I go.
Gurasoen etxean denbora pasa nuenez, argazki batzuk atera nituen. Hau amaren lepoa da. Lepokoa Estanbulen erositakoa da urte batzuk dala. Lepokoak maite ditu, beraz kanpora joaten naizen bakoitzean bat ekartzen saiatzen naiz.

Modern city

This sculture can be found near Artium museum. It is quite near of my house, but I must confess that I have never visited it. The bar and restaurant are ok, and live music that usually organized are the only times I go there.
Escultura hau Artium museoaren kanponaldean dago. Nahiz eta nire etxetik nahiko hurbil izan, ez naiz inoiz barruan egon. Taberna eta jatetxea oso ondo daude eta batzutak antolatzen duten kontzertuetara bakarrik joaten naiz.
ARTIUM

These are upgoing mecanic stairs in the old part of the city. There are too many opinions about them. I sometimes like them, other times prefer the way the old part was.
Hauek alde zaharrean dauden eskilara mekanikoak dira. Iritzi asko daude beraiei buruz. Batzutan gustoko ditut, beste batzutan nahiago nuen lehengo itzura.

Happy birthday

This is A. some years ago. He sent me this photo when we started to go out. Now he must be just a good regard and a friend. It is hard, but I don´t want to loose that. Today is his birthday. Happy birthday, my sweet friend. Keep that smile.
Hau A.da orain urte batzuk. Irteten hasi ginenean bidali zidan. Orain, bizitako denboraldi goxo bat eta lagun bat besterik ez dira. Gogorra da, baina ez dut hori galdu nahi. Gaur bere urtebetetzea da. Zorionak, lagun maitea. Irribarri hori mantendu.

To the rest, have a great weekend.
Guztioi, pasa astebukaera ona.
Al resto, pasad buen fin de semana.

Wandering

As Joyce recomended me, I took my camera (my mum has bought me one) and wandered in the streets near home taking photos. Days have been grey, so this is a shot of one of the church towers in a moment of blue sky. Maybe is quite simbolic, just a sunny moment in a grey period. Will try to find more sunny moments. You can notice there is a stork nest in the right side.

Joyce-k esan bezala, nire kamara (amak erosi dit bat) hartu eta nire etxeko kale ingurutik buelta bat eman nuen argazkiak ateratzen. Egun grisak isan ditugu, hala ere eliza dorrearen argazkiak badik urdin apur bat. Agian simbolikoki, momentu argitzu bat tarte gris batean. Saiatuko naiz momentu argitzu gehiago topatzen. Fijatzen bazarete zikoinak daude eskubialdean.

They have just told me that a work pale is dying. It is quite hard. He was just nearly retaired, and was so nice...

Orain esan didate lankide bat hiltzen ari dela.

Corner view: Places of reflection

A desert beach in winter or in a summer grey day. An island with a lighthouse. Alone. Just me looking the world in distance.
Ondartza bakarti bat neguan edo udako egun gris batean. Irla bat faro batekin. Bakarrik.
Sola. Yo mirando el mundo desde lejos.
Sorry but these days, nearly all photos are grey and sad. Barkatu baina azkenaldian argazki guztiak grisak eta tristeak dira.

Cuba

In spring my brother went to Cuba to visit some family of my sister in law. And brought me this mask. I can find a place to hang at home. Any ideas?
Udaberrian anaia Cuban izan zen, bere neskalagunaren familia bizitatzen. Eta maskara hau ekarri zidan. Non jarri jakin gabe nago. Ideiarik?
Ideas?
The mask is made of ceramics and it is inspired in african culture.

Juggling, dancing

On Saturday I went with my father to lunch to San Sebastian. It was a grey day but the city was beautiful. After arriving in Vitoria, we went to see the street ambient and found:
European jugging festival
Sapatuan aitarekin Donostira joan ginen bazkaltzera. Egun grisa zen baina hiriak betiko xarma zuen. Gasteizera iristean kaleko ambientearekin egin genun topo:
Europako malabar festibala

Rises of the world. An intercultural fest were everyone from everywhere can take part cooking rise and tasting others. And then dance festival.
Munduko arrosak. Festa interkulturala non edonork edonondik datorrela parte hartu dezake arrosa eginez eta besteena dastatuz. Eta gero dantza festibala.

Sunday was horrible. I could not even went out of home. Couldn´t feel ok. So lonely, so...that pass all day in front of the TV trying not to think, not to feel. Igandea txarra izan zen. Ez nintzen etxetik ere atera. Ez nengoen ondo. Bakarrik sentitzen nintzen, hain...eta eguna telebista aurrean pasa nuen, ez pentsatzeko, ez sentitzeko. El domingo fue horrible. No me sentía bien.
