It is snowing. It is a great moment for candle light weekend and to use the new cozy crochet blanket. I started so many months ago, with my grandmum yards, and finally my mum finished it. It has become a special piece.

Elurra diagu kanpokaldean. Aste bukaera kandela argitan ibiltzeko perfektua dirudi eta amaitu berri den gantzilozko manta erabiltzeko ere. Orain hilabeteak hasi nituen amamaren artileekin eta amak amaitu du azkenean.

Hay nieve fuera. Es un fin de semana de esos perfectos para la luz de las velas, y el calorcito de la manta que acabamos de terminar. Acabamos, porque la empecé hace meses, con las lanas viejas de mi abuela y porque la ha terminado mi madre. Al final se ha convertido en una pieza muy especial.

In my last journey to Madrid I had some time for myself. So I went to visit Merche, in her shop Blackoveja. I find so a wellcoming and nice atmosphere. Finally I bought a big crochet and some yard...nearly have finished the new proyect.

Madrilera izan nuen azken bidaian niretzako denbora izan nuen. Beraz Merche bisitatzera joan nintzen bere denda Blackovejan. Hain da atsegina horrelako leku batean ongietorria jasotzea. Azkenean zeozer erosi nun...eta jada ia amaituta diat azken lana.

En mi último viaje a Madrid tuve algo de tiempo para mí. Así que aproveché para visitar a Merche en su tienda Blackoveja. Es tan agradable que le den a uno la bienvenida en un sitio así. Gracias. Al final me lleve un gancho grande y algo de lana....casi tengo terminado el trabajo.

I travelled by train some days ago. And I was able to catch the light in the morning and in the afternoon. Days where cloudless and sun rised and died behind little hills.
Trenean mugitzen ibili naiz azkenaldia. Eta goizeko eta gaueko argia arrapatzea lortu izan dut. Egunak hodei gabeak ziren eta eguzkia malda txikien atzean jaio eta eskutatzen zen.
He viajado en tren últimamente. Y ésto me ha permitido captar la luz del amanecer y del atardecer desde el movimiento. Los días no tenían apenas nubes y el sol se perdía y aparecía detrás de las suaves lomas de Castilla.

I travelled because of work to the industrial area near Bilbao. I take a time to discover the beauty of the decadent industry of the area. The greys. The fog. A mythic river.

Lately I enjoy and relax a lot crocheting. I find it that is becoming quite modern and actual in the nowadays decoration.

Today is the first day of the 2012. I need to be a great year. Need to be different. So I tried to change a bit the image, the actitude, the smile.

Blue hat. I bought it in a second. Love hats. But hardly find the moment to use them. This city is too small for hat moments.

I have been travelling this week. Madrid again. And Tudela area. Love the light in the early hours in the train and the last lights in the same place. The brick churches of Alfaro. Moments stolen to work hours.

Time flies. Weather lets me some midday walks near work. Waking up early is also a point for beautiful colours.

Autumn is being beautiful in colours. And this year I am being more hunter than other times. Maybe it is just because as my time flies, every little moment is so special.

Cooking with seeds is something I learnt in a visit to some friends in Italy some years ago. Now I usually use poppy seeds and linseed. Poppy seeds are used as chocolate in cakes, or in salads...It is a touch I love. Do you use them?

I have been out for work. Madrid. Well just a street of Madrid. Just a work meeting and back home.

Travelled by train coming back home. Love train station movement, so many stories around...and I had some time to work at train ;)

Madrilen egon naiz lan asuntuetan. Egia esan Madrileko kale bat ikusi diat. Joan, batzarra eta buelta. Trenez itzuli nintzan. Maite ditut tren geltokiak, hainbeste historio daude han itxoiten....eta lan apur bat egin nuen trenean ;)

He estado en Madrid por trabajo. Visita express, reunión, y volver. Tren. Estaciones de tren llenas de historias en tránsito...por lo menos me dió tiempo de trabajar un poco ;)

We take all Saint´s day off to go colour hunting, before rain and cold arrive. The result is a mix of leave colours, blues and some halloween night spiderwebs.

Jaieguna koloreak arrapatzera irteteko erabili genuen. Euria eta hotzak arrapatu baino lehen. Ondorioa orri koloretzuak, urdinak eta armiarma xare mordoa dira.

Aprovechamos el día de todos los santos para ir a cazar colores. Antes de que llegara el tan anunciado temporal de frío y lluvia. El resultado fue un saco de hojas de colores, algún que otro azul y un montón de telarañas restos de alguna fiesta la noche anterior.

Last week I have some days off so we had time to go to beach. Afternoon light was incredible. So warm.

Donostia is always so beautiful. Love autumn-winter beach.

Pasatako asteko egun libreetan ondartzara joan ginen. Argia izugarria zen. Hain gozoa.

Donosti beti dago izugarri. Maite dut neguko ondartza.

La semana pasada tuve unos días libre, así que nos acercamos a la playa. La luz de la noche estaba increible. Cálida. Donostia. siempre se muestra tan preciosa. Adoro la playa en invierno.

To sit outside, drinking a beer, with sun so closed is a privilege for this autumn days. And I am loving it. It relaxes me to sit and see how night is coming. Today earlier.

Flowers and peace

Winter arrived without saying a word. Yesterday was sunny and warm, today is cold and grey. Really although I love being at sun, rain was something I missed. An excuse to stay all day at home, just making.

Negua konturatu gabe heldu da. Beti bezala ezer esan gabe. Sandaliak oraindik armairuan zeudela. Faltan botatzen nitun egun ilun eta hotzak, etxean sartu eta gauzak egiten pasatzen diren horietakoak.

El invierno llegó cuando las sandalias estaban todavía en el zapatero. De improvisto. Y con la excusa de los días grises y lluviosos, estar en casa se ha convertido en algo creativo.

I don´t work today. It was sunny and I went to walk. To hunt autumn colours.

Ez dut lanik egiten gaur. Eta egun eguzkitzua aprobetzatuz ibiltzera joan naiz. Udazkeen loreak arrapatzera.

Hoy es festivo. Hace bueno y he salido a caminar. A la caza de los colores de otoño.

Although we went to walk to a place that was full, really full, the calm sensation was easy to find just walking a bit apart, near the sound of the river.

Sarriara joan gara. Jendez gainezka zegoen, inoiz ikusi ez bezala. Hala ere halako lasaitasuna potatzea erreza zen, bidetik aldendu eta errekaren albora hurbildu eskero.

Hemos ido a Sarria, estaba lleno de gente. Tan lleno como nunca había visto. Aun así era fácil encontrar ese tipo de tranquilidad que da el campo, alejándose sin más un poco y acercándose al río.

The sun, the shadows. The walk. A bit of calm in midweek. Perfect.

Lost in the corner view

Weather is being great. So bright so sunny that at lunch time I try to get lost in the Art Museum Park. A coffee to the park, and reflections of art in a lake full or red fishes.

Denbora izugarrizkoa da. Parkera ihes egiten diat bazkalorduan. Museoko kafeterian kafea, eguzkitan eta artearen islada arrai gorriz beteriko iturrian.

El tiempo está siendo veraniego, y el septiembre ha pasado agradablemente. Intento escaparme a la hora de comer, al parque. A la cafetería del Museo de Bellas Artes, al sol. A captar el arte en el reflejo de la fuente de los peces rojos.

My friends mum died last week. And that is one of the reason why I have been so out. Strange feelings, deeply blue moments....

Lagunaren ama pasatako astean hil zan eta hau izan da hain deskonektatua egotearen arrazoietariko bat. Une latzak izan dira, guztientzat...hain zaila da galtzea, hainbeste borrokatu ostean.

La madre de mi amigo murió la semana pasada y esa es una de las razones por las que me he encontrado tan desconectada. Han sido momentos tristes, y difíciles de digerir.

It is suposed to be the last summer weekend, but autumn has come quicky. It is cold outside, colours are changing and home is preparing for warm afternoons. There is a strange calm in autumn, it has a bit of activity of summer and a bit of warm of winter. Love the colours one can cacht every moment...

Udako azken astebukaera dela suposatzen da, baina udazkena arin iritsi da. Hotz dago kanpoan, koloreak aldatzen dihoaz eta etxea halanola negurako prestatzen hasi da. Maite diat udazkenaren erritmoa, udaren indarra du eta neguraren goxotasuna. Momentuoro nola koloreek denboraren aldaketa markatzen duten maite dut..

Se supone que es el último fin de semana de verano pero el otoño se ha adelantado unos días. Hace frío, los colores han empezado a cambiar y en casa las mantas empiezan a asomarse en el sofá. Me gusta el otroño, que mantiene la actividad del verano y la calided del invierno. Cómo los colores van marcando el paso de lo días...

It is difficult to find a good place to keep all those little things in order. So I found out that eggboxes are perfect. They can keep ceramics without touching one with others, and can be keep together in a bigger box.

Ez da gauza txikiak ordenean mantentzea. Arraultz kutxak topatu nituen nire zeramikazko gauzatxoak gordetzeko. Ez dira ikutzen eta beste kutxa haundiago batean gorde daitezke.

No es fácil encontrar un sitio para guardar cuentas, pequeños pedacitos de cosas etc. Las hueveras son unas cajas perfectas. Pequeños sitios para ordenar por colores, por tamaños, sin que se mezclen...y luego guardar en cajas mayores.

Cuando voy no puedo evitar visitar el jardin de mi tía, los huertos de mis tíos, sentarme en la terraza a escuchar cómo el río susurra viejas historias a su paso por la presa, cómo el tiempo pierde esa concepción que arrastramos desde la ciudad.

There are so many things to learn of her, and so little time...that I should learn to control better time, not to waste, just enjoy in what I like and don´t sit down saying how little time I´ve got.

My mum has a cupboard full of old magazines. I took a moment when she was not at home to look for some inspiration...and discovered so old ones and so many things...that more than a moment I need a weekend with them.

Amak armairu bat du errebista zaharrez betea. Momentu bat lapurtu nion denborari, kuskuzeatzeko. Baina ez diat momentu bat behar, baizik eta astebukaera oso bat irudi zahar horietatik gauza asko ateratzeko.

Mi madre tiene un armario lleno de revistas viejas. Aprovechando un momento que no estaba en casa, empecé a curiosear. Revistas de los 70, de los 60...inspiración actual. Necesito un fin de semana encerrada con ellas.

I am working in something blue....with cotton yard from DMC, Natura collection...so easy to work with...crochetting everywhere.

Zeozer urdina daramat eskuartean....DMC Naturako ariekin...oso erreza da lan egiteko...eta gantziloa edonora daramat.

Estoy trabajando en algo azul....con hilos de la colección Natura de DMC...son tan fáciles de trabajar...que ando con el ganchillo en todos lados.

The begining

After some days totally disconected, I started to work last week. Some days in Madrid, new enterprise, new partners, new everything. I tried to go out and visited a bit the city. But hotel was quite far and although it was a super hotel, no internet and so far...moved to the center to find out, hot, people and visit in person some friends and their new project.

Lekuz kanpo ibilitako egun batzuen ostean lan berrian hasi nintzen pasatako astean. Egun batzuk Madrilen, enpresa berria, lankide berriak, dena berriegiegia. Hiria bizitatzen saiatu nintzen baina hotela, naiz eta izugarrizkoa izan, beste puntan zegoen, beraz piskat limatatua ibili nintzen...hala ere lagunak bizitatzeko beta izan nuen.

Después de unos días de desconexión total, empecé a currar la semana pasada. Unos días por Madrid, nueva empresa, nuevos compañeros, todo demasiado nuevo. Summer is being a bit strange. At the end of july I received a good job offer and left my last job. This new one is out of where I live, so after nearly 8 years walking or riding work, I had to buy a car, and start driving again. Job looks great, will tell some months later, but all changes involve both fear and happiness.

July was grey and August is being, sunny hot and cloudy...in the same proportion.

The mother of a good friend is at hospital for a severe injury and I have being helping taking care of the dog, his nephew, being a bit the listener, the outside voice, so...little time for write, read or so.

Next monday I start to work again...hope to start organizing my new way of life and keep in contact with all of you....have missed a lot.

Uda arraroa aurkitu dut. Lanez aldatu nintzen hilabetearen amaierarekin, eta 8 urtez oinez edo bizikletan lanera joan ta gero, Bilboko bidea ikasi beharrean sentitu naiz...oraingoan kotxe berriarekin. Lanak itzura ona du, baina denbora pasa hala esan beharreko puntua da.

El verano ha sido raro. Cambié de trabajo cuando cambié de mes. Después de 8 años caminando o yendo en bici a trabajar, se me plantea el reto de coger un coche todos los días para cambiar de ciudad. Nuevos hábitos, nuevos horarios, nuevo...todo.

Agosto está revuelto, como yo...sin saber si hoy quiere sol o frío.

Lamadre de un buen amigo está en el hospital, por lo que ayudarle ha transformado un poco mi verano. Paseos con el perro, juegos con su sobrina....escuchar, animar, estar ahí.

El lunes empiezo a trabajar...y espero poder ir habituandome a todo y tener tiempo de seguir visitandoos...os echo de menos.

Where is summer?

Yesterday was fiesta. Santiago´s day. My grandfather used to come from the country to see the animals and so. Always has been an special day for that. Visiting city with a country man, that usually didn´t come to it. Love to hear him talking about cows, or horses...the size of vegetables...the colour....miss him.

I love to sit in the high part of the city (I live at nearly 600 m above sea level, in a city which lies in a hill). I love to see how sun changes city colours, and leaves that sweet feeling of pink moments. The shadow of buildings that seem more magnificent, the darkness of the night coming slowly.

corner view: late reflections

In a bit more than 10 days I will be 36. And lately I spend quite a lot of time reflecting. Quite a lot of my few spare time. Sometimes I think I am living just by inerce. A good friend told me just to brake, but I am afraid of falling if I do it suddendly. So I try to change things...but changes don´t arrive. And I try not to think, just to enjoy details, and little things that could make me smile. But sometimes it is not easy.

At work, I work too much. Crisis time they say, we all must try hard. But it lets me no time. At home, just I find that sometimes I have no time to do anything, and I spent my weekend just cleaning. Friends. Some are near, other so far, but lately they all seem to have travelled far away. Family, they are always there, as usual.

No love, no even someone to smile at.

I am lucky, I know, and I thank everyday for that....but sometimes it seem that it is not enough. I feel I am getting old so quicky that I am not able to enjoy.

I should not think so much.

When I start living in this flat, I decided not to spend a great amount of money in beautiful pots for plants. So decided to paint some just to break a bit with the terracota colour of them.

The pot is covered with a crochet easy super easy I have managed to do cozy. The vase was made last year at ceramic class in a mixture of two kind of clays. And the crochet.....that´s my mum´s.

El tiesto lo he cubierto de una fundita de ganchillo super super fácil, hasta he conseguido hacerla yo. El plato es de clase de cerámica del año pasado mezclando dos tipos de barro. Y el tapete..ese es de mi madre.

Lately I have been quite busy and a bit stressed...and a bit down...and I have discovered that crochet relaxes me a bit. So ideas for home decoration in easy super easy crochet are admited. Just not to crochet and crochet with no use.

Lately I am taking tree photos all the time. I find fascinating the texture of the wood, the little colours, animals and details one can fin in one of this photos. The past of human, the nature streght, the wind...all this leaves something on them, we can discover. Love those kind of photos...and would like to receive more from all parts of the wordl, just to have my own wood. Anyone wants to contribute to this huge wood map?

This is the wooden box my uncle gave me up, when I was nine. He did it for my comunion gift. With my name, traditional works and beautiful dolls in the cover. It is something special that today is at my parents as I cannot find the perfect place here.

My kitchen was just a few minutes ago full of wood, food and oil. Some warm salad with eggs, with vegetables and cheese. Oil always in hand. Some wine, for just a glass after work...

Sukaldea minutu batzuk dala bazkariz betea zegoen, egurrezko tresnak eta olioa. Ensalada arraultzakin, gazta, txanpiak eta porruak. Olioa beti eskura. Ardo apur bat, lan osteko edalontzirako.

On friday I had a talk with my boss. He was thinking about giving me a goodbye...Apart from the reasons, the bad moments, the all time thinking, the bad temper...I continue working. Maybe it is not be best I need in this moment, but it will pay the bills.

This weekend I went to some cooking classes. It was in a new space near my home. I have a great time and enjoyed a lot having hands busy and mind relaxed.

Astebukaera honetak sukaldari klaseetara joan naiz. Etxe ondoan dagoen espazio berri batean. Denbora izugarri ona izan nun eta eskuak lanperutik edukitzeak burua lasaitu egin nindun.

Lately I have been working a bit more than I should...these photos are from one of our lastest works. We install the climatization of the place. It was an old convent recoverd in a modern art space called KREA.

Azkenaldian lanean denbora gehiegi igaro dut..behar baino gehiago. Argazkiak azken obra batekoak dira. KREA gunekoak. Oraindik inaguratu gabe dago beraz primizia antzerakoa dira.

Últimamente he estado trabajando más de lo que uno debe...estas fotos son de una de nuestras últimas obras. Realizamos la instalación de climatización. Son del Espacio KREA, y aun estando sin inagurar son un poco primicia y secreto.

Today I can fin the words. It is strange but cannot find what to say. No improvising, no thinking..it is as if world has stopped and has nothing to say. Feel a bit empty, as if times flies without leaving anything, and that emptyness is what I cannot find a word.

The end of the year is so near and looking back is so strange...that I feel my 2000 efect was 10 years later and that it is better not to look back. Just hope 2011 will come just a bit different.

It is raining outside. After all week of work, no time to write, no time to read, I have managed to take a time to visit you a bit. Lately I have a time discontrol...so I am not visiting you and talking to you as much I would like. And miss it a lot.

Kanpoan euria ari du. Astea lanez gainezka pasa det, eta idazteko ezta irakurtzeko betarik ez diat izan. Denbora deskontrol apur bat diat...eta ez nabil zuen lekuak bizitatzen ezta nahi aina zuekin hitzegiten. Eta faltan botatzen det.

Llueve fuera. Después de una semana de trabajo, sin tiempo para leer, sin tiempo para escribir y ni siquiera para visitaros un poco. Últimamente tengo el tiempo descontrolado...y no consigo visitaros y escribiros tanto como me gustaría. Y lo echo de menos.

It is raining outside, but it is clear...and house is in silence and I can hear the sound of my fingers while I am writting. I adore this sound. It reminds me the sound of old typewritters...I have one at my parents. I bought it with a price in a tale competition when I was a child. Now I feel the need of writing again.

Me recuerda al sonido de las viejas máquinas de escribir...Hay una en casa de mis padres. La compré con el premio de un concurso de cuentos..cuando era muy pequeña. Ahora siento otra vez la necesidad de escribir.

I feel again lots of needs...the need of write, the need of share, the need of create. I think it say R.M.Rilke who said that the most beautiful creations come out from desesperation...or something similar. Now I feel that my world is on the edge...I feel more strong in other things.

Berriro sentitzen ditut ahaztutako behar asko....idazteko beharra, konpartitu beharra, sortzeko beharra. Uste dut Rilkek esan zuela, kreazio zoragarrienak desesperaziotik datozela...edo antzerako zeozer. Eta orain nire mundua kolokan sentitzen dudanean...gogorragoa sentitzen naiz beste gauza batzuetan.

Siento otra vez necesidades olvidadas...la necesidad de escribir, de compartir, de crear. Creo que fue R.M.Rilke quien dijo que las más bellas creaciones provienen de la desesperación...o algo así. Ahora que siento mi mundo en un equilibrio inestable....me siento más fuerte para otras cosas.

Imagine a theater of the 50th in an area of the city that will desapear due to a road. Imagine a postcard of your city. Not a typical postcard, just the way you have of the city. That was basicaly the competition I won with other 10 people. It was not an official competition, something alternative.

Imaginaros un teatro de los años cincuenta, en un barrio que está a punto de desaparecer por el paso de una carretera. Imaginaros una postal de vuestra ciudad. No una postal típica, sino vuestra visión de la ciudad. Básicamente esa era la idea del concurso de fotografía que gané.

There are moments in which one took a beer, some pens and start to write. When I have to think in something important, I write. It clears my mind.

We went the four of us. Mum, dad, my brother and I. It was strange, just because it was so long since we don´t go together to the mountains. It was just like being children again, but with a deep nostalgic feeling.

Laurak joan gara. Aita, ama, anaia eta ni. Arraroa izan da, azpaldia zan batera mendira joaten ez ginela. Eta haurtzaroan bezala sentitu naiz, baina nostalgia zakon baten sentimenduarekin.

Hemos ido los cuatro. Mi madre, mi padre, mi hermano y yo. Ha sido extraño, pues hacía tiempo que no íbamos juntos al monte. Ha sido como volver a la infancia, pero con un sentimiento profundo de nostalgia.

The forest was grey and all colours where pale, no brightness. It was difícult to find what we were looking for. Or maybe we all found easily what we were not looking for. We were as ever, a family, walking together, eating, finding, getting lost...

Basoa grisa zegoen, eguna moduan. Eta koloreak lauak ziren, indar barik. Zaila izan da bila geundena aurkitzea. Edo agian denok topatu degu bila ez geundena. Betiko moduan famili bat izan gara, batera mendian, hamaiketakoa hartzen, galtzen....

El bosque estaba gris, como si los colores hubieran perdido su fuerza. Era difícil encontrar lo que estabamos buscando. O tal vez ha sido fácil encontrar lo que no estabamos buscando. Volver a ser, como siempre, una familia, juntos en el monte, almorzando, perdiéndonos....

Green is one of my favorite colours. I love it, and I have it around, plants, in walls, in clothes...it makes me feel ok. It is so natural, and so optimistic, that I need to have it around.

Berdea nire kolore faboritoenetarikoa da. Maite diat, eta inguruan izan ohi dut, landareetan, ormetan, arropan, ondo sentiarazten dit. Hain da naturala, eta baikorra, inguruan behar dudala.

El verde es uno de mis colores favoritos. Lo adoro, me encanta tenerlo alrededor, en plantas, en paredes, en la ropa...me hace sentir bien. Es natural y optimista, y siento que necesito tenerlo alrededor.

Being green. I have four different bins. One for organic waste, other for paper, other for plastics, and other for glass. My reclicying corner is a bit a mess, but well....it is a bin, not have to be glamorous, have it?

Ser verde. Tengo 4 cubos de basura. Uno para la orgánica, otro para el papel, otro para el plástico y un último para el vidrio. Este es mi rincón del reciclaje, no tiene porque ser glamuroso no?

I am back again. I have just closed the door to the man who has installed internet and solved all the problems and star writting. I have missed you so much.
Berriro nago hemen. Atea itxi berri diot interneta jarri didan eta arazoak konpondu dizkidan tipoari eta idazten hasi naiz. Ez nuen uste hainbeste botako zintuztedala faltan.
Aquí estoy de nuev. Acabo de cerrarle la puerta al técnico que me ha instalado el internet y me ha arreglado todos los problemas. Y me he puesto a escribir. No sabía que pudiera echaros tanto de menos.

Time has passed nearly ever noticing it. I travelled abroad, met fantastic people, had a great time, returned home and found things haven´t changed so much, and that working time are harder day to day.

Denborak aurrera egin du, ia konturatu gabe. Kanpoan egon naiz, jende izugarria ezagutu dut, momentu bikainak igaro nituen, eta etxera itzultzean, gauzak leku berean zeundela konturatu naiz. Eta lanera joatea gero eta gogorragoa dela.

Ha pasado el tiempo y apenas me he dado cuenta. Viajé fuera, conocí a gente increible, me lo pasé bien y al regresar las cosas no se habían movido de su sitio. Y ahora ir a trabajar se hace cada día más duro.

I have the house in a mess. I should be cleaning....but it is so much time ago....I hope to be able to recover all the photos I lost in time, all the moments I should have shared and all the words I have to thank.
